In defence of the MacKenzie

Never more have I wanted to have the skills of Alister Campbell, for, in this blog, I intend to defend our Allie - much hated and but predomintly mis-understod.

Now, I use to think anyone who has the company of the cat is a lucky soul. But the more I think about it, and how badly behaved in general most cats are (whether with intention or not) its more that we are secretly jealous and we are merely undulging something that will purr at us if we are lucky with the pleasures in life that we are often denied. This indulgance is most commonly in forgiveness. I am more grateful for Allie coming in alive despite calling her for hours, late for work and on the brink of phoning the animal warden then I am cross for the unnessecary worry. I don't think Allie is alone as a cat in having enough intelligance to recognise her own name or at least the sound I am making roughly translated as "Allie, fun time is over I want you in and safe" when I am really calling "Allie - I've got you prawns!!!"

We also show a huge amount of understanding and indeed blame ourselves for their naughtiness "she only scratched me because I anoyed her" etc etc

Allie, however I feel is taking this indulgance to a new extreme. Yes, she came in to our lives because we had the sort of mice that nothing deterred - but that was merely an excuse - I love cats and have always had one or two in my life - Pepper, Sooty, Sweep and Bobby - all currently larging it in cat heavan - Cuddles who let my parents live with her. Also theres Joshy - a perfect little gentleman and Tom cat aka Spencer a filthy little perv who is completely adorable for it. I hope I am not forgetting any - oh George, my uncles cat who has been breed so that her nose is so flat she chokes when he eats - no wonder some cats get mad!! Then there are all those cats who are now chasing mice in the sky but affected people so much you feel you know them for the stories you hear of them. Ok, on a tangent - the cats in my life retospectove is over!!! Just on the subject of tangent - what is it with dogs?? Never having been in the company of them that long I will as this contaversal question - doesn't all the loyaly, tail wagging uncondintal love nonsence grate a little? Logs and dogs aside because because I have upset M*C enough lately - but really - they are just so easy!!!

Back to Allie aka Mackenzie aka Mac. Now, i have been fortunate enough to extract a copy of her most recent brain scan which I have copied below and I find answers a lot of the questions I had about her.
If you click on the image you can see quite clearly that our Allie lacks a superego. She simply has no values. Completely immoral! i wouldn't dare suggest that all cats have this brain. For instance young Spence would be all about the ladies. But what is it with boxes??? Are cats on earth merely to inspect the insides of things??? What the brain scan does lack is Allie's memory which is fairly good for the sound of prawns being opened, things that are hidden from her and her nemisies. i do think whilst a kitten Allie did have an experiance with children that didn't go well for her because she really hates anything under 4 foot.

The main problem with Allie is that no one sees her nice side. Believe it or not - she likes a cuddle, enjoys a stroke and can be harressed without taking my arm off. Unless of course you are her enemy. Of which she has many, but none more so then my mum and Marie-Claire. I have some special 'Allie vision' camera fim and I have taken some pictures to show what she sees in, if not defence of her behaviour with these two, but to try and put the other side of the argument.

Well, i think that's all i can say. She is Allie, tempremental, demanding, clumsy, dopey, currently miaowing and trying to get in to a plastic bag as I speak. There is one small thing however - Hate is a crime!!!

love Kat xxx
