I can't blog and not make a reference to the recent weather, not least because Allie had her first snow based adventures. Now, I know from reading the visitor book that Allie features highly in the "things that could be changed"as part of our lives, but we like her so we went to work with warm glowing feelings after Allie's adventure. I won't go on, but here's a picture or two:
By the way, I think Allie is related to Jade, she attacks when intimidated (H wishes to point out that Allie is not a racist). Christine nearly had her nose bit off when she was trying to overwhelm Allie with the love. Bless her little paws!
Anyway, we are mostly listening to Amy Winehouse at the moment (and Depeche Mode's Greatest Hits) - corking album, my favorite song is the title track. Wierdly, my boss has just purchased it for his wife after I was drooning on about it so much. I could be respncibile for a dissolved marriage..... no, its super! Go get!
I recently applied for a job (still Trading Standards) I was lucky enough to get an interview but didn't get the job - I was under-qualified so trying not to feel too bad about it - although it was the King of Trading Standards Departments :(
Anyway, as a results things have been pretty cool back at base (whom I am now stuck with for a bit longer then I thought! or hoped! Exam results are out in 3 weeks, my chief is saying yes to everything I want and I actually seem to be doing some good work for my consumers. I can't go in to it too much for obvious reasons, but I managed to get one consumer out of a £19k loan last week. I have a few exciting operations with the police planned, which I am leading which is also cool! Providing I pass my exams, I can start doing the specialisms, and I may actually take the Credit exam this May which will be 10 of my 40 points got if I pass.
Anyway, H and I have been having some fun. Had an awesome unoffically long weekend last weekend. Thursday us and the girls from the BL went to Yo Sushi which was lovely as I haven't seen Lena in ages and not had a good catch up with Irma for just as long. Had a bit of a mental food block when I thought I was eating fish skins, but a part from the soy beans (just weird) it was a taste-tastic evening. Also, the resturant had a new Dyson hand dryer which I got a bit overly excited, told everyone who then had to sample it! Anyway, the meal was all the better for 50% off vouchers (I was Margaret Wainwright for some reason beknown to H only) and a grumpy waiter who didn't add up all our bowls. Horray!
Anyway, after that, Mum came up on Friday night (which I insisted that we watch CBB, only to forget to watch the final on Sunday). Played some board games and gossiped till late. Next day, Mum went to Chiswick to attend a meeting and H and I potted around, me gardening and H writing (hmmm, who is the brains and the brawn?). Then in the evening we went out with our Steve and his mates in Twickenham to the Cabbage Patch and then on to Filthy's which was a very good night indeed!
Sunday was H's day as I had planned a little day trip to.......
Garson - nusery, resturant, and farm shop!
Oh, she's a lucky one! Anyway, had a lovely lunch in the company of fellow patrons who probably all remembered the Great Wars. Got some bargains and then went home and made a cake. As you do when your in your twenties!
And that's it for now, I think.
I hope everyone is well!
Lots of love
Kat x
