Allo Allo!
I am back from the dead! Horrah!
Gosh - two weeks of illness does the fan of Allo Allo on UKTV Gold maketh! Well, the cough and sore throat that felt like swallowing glass has gone but the voice is still not quite in business yet. Sadly this has forced me to withdraw from the X Factor as my range now only permits Alison Moyet covers. Actually I should give Louise Armstrong's back catalogue ago but it will definitely be a while before I can tackle Whuthering Heights again. Glad to be back at work though - yes, I am that sad - must be still ill.
Thanks for all the top fashion advice which amounted to nothing in grand total! I hold everyone responsible for any head scarf and white and cream incidents (with but nothing in between) in future.
I am now on week 5 as a non-smoker. Not that giving up smoking has done much for me - my voice sounds like I have a sixty a day habit since the illness! For those that missed the 'Queens Sister' on Channel 4 last Sunday - what a shining example for reasons to give up smoking. The actress with the aid of what looked like skin coloured plasters aged so much she looked like the Queens mother and not younger sister for the period of time it took for Beatles mop tops to be replaced fashionably by side burns.
Helen, whom I am now referring to as Casio (I know, its catchy I might go for Little Ben) for the amount of times she feels she needs to tell me the time in the morning (its 7.15. Kat, its now 7.24. Kat its almost 8am....) we have, I think, found our new home. Our offer has been accepted, why not take a virtual tour http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-10093502.rsp?pa_n=2&tr_t=buy fingers cross, no one will drop out and it will work out. Incidently the house we were originally offered that the vendor dropped out from - he called the other day to ask if we could pick up were we left off. After Helen told him the time she told him what for!
I will be blogging properly soon and hopefully uploading a picture of my pinch pot from my evening class. I haven't been to class for the last two weeks so it may very well have exploded in the kiln. We are using the 'wheels' soon so I will be borrowing Helen's MP3 player with Unchained Melody on repeat for that session. Also Kate Bush new album review to come - but oh my gosh - its amazing! No news on Percy as I have not even got my quotes yet with this illness business. I will be sure to update though.
I hope everyone is well. Helen and I had the pleasure of a certain Captain this weekend as I know Gary, M*C, Sully and Amy also had said pleasure. Lovely to see him and be in the company of the clock fearing genius!
Take care all,
Lots of Love
Katty xxxx
